I’m back! (Kind of)

So, after lying dormant for six and a half months, I have decided to resurrect the old blog.

Sadly, this is just a football post while I scramble to finish my third year dissertation. This is also recycled from my work placement, but my guesswork was so good last weekend it amazed myself to the point of wanting to include it on here.

Without further ado, here are my unedited relegation predictions for the end of the season, in a much more basic form than originally posted.

West Bromwich Albion

West Ham (H) 26.04.14

First game that’s already happened, first correct score!

Final score: West Brom 1-0 West Ham

Arsenal (A) 04.05.14

I reckon after sneaking past West Ham, Arsenal should overpower West Brom and take 4th once and for all.

Final score: Arsenal 4-0 West Brom

Sunderland (A) 07.05.14

Went for a bit of a goal fest, so expecting to get this one fairly wrong…

Final score: Sunderland 2-3 West Brom

Stoke (A) 11.05.14

A point to see WBA nice and safe, would be a shock to me if they went down.

Final score: Stoke 1-1 West Brom

Final points tally: 40

Norwich

Man Utd (A) 26.04.14

Another game that’s already happened, another perfect score!

Final score: Manchester United 4-0 Norwich

Chelsea (A) 04.05.14

Chelsea might actually still have a shout of winning the title yet, so they’ll probably ease past Norwich.

Final score: Chelsea 2-0 Norwich

Arsenal (H) 11.05.14

As I had it, Norwich’s horrible run-in will end in another defeat, and would lead to the end of their three year stay in the top flight.

Final score: Norwich 0-3 Arsenal

Final point tally: 32

Fulham

Hull (H) 26.04.14

The first wrong one from last week, actual score 2-2, which is good news for my temporary city of Sunderland.

Final score: Fulham 1-0 Hull

Stoke (A) 03.05.14

Not as sure about this one as I was when I wrote it, but I still think Stoke will win.

Final score: Stoke 2-0 Fulham

Crystal Palace (H) 11.05.14

More confident about this one, I predict Hugo Rodallega to the rescue again!

Final score: Fulham 2-1 Crystal Palace

Final points tally: 36

Cardiff

Sunderland (A) 27.04.14

Little wrong on this, but still got the right result to make it three out of four right results.

Final score: Sunderland 1-0 Cardiff

Newcastle (A) 03.05.14

Newcastle’s forwards, kinda suck right now. Somehow still think they’ll score, but Cardiff will win.

Final score: Newcastle 1-2 Cardiff

Chelsea (H) 11.05.14

Chelsea should win this, especially with no Champions League final to look forward to.

Final score: Cardiff 0-4 Chelsea

Final points tally: 33

Sunderland

Cardiff (H) 27.04.14

As I said, three out of four aint bad.

Final score: Sunderland 1-0 Cardiff

Manchester United (A) 03.05.14

We’ve had some good games with Sunderland, hopefully this one won’t be as close.

Final score: Man Utd 2-0 Sunderland

West Brom (H) 07.05.14

Like I said before, this one could easily go either way.

Final score: Sunderland 2-3 West Brom

Swansea (H) 11.05.14

One more win should actually be enough for Sunderland to stay up now, despite the table about to be looked at by you.

Final score: Sunderland 2-1 Swansea

Final points tally: 35

Final league table, as predicted by me:

16th – West Brom, 40 pts

17th – Fulham, 36 pts

18th – Sunderland, 35 pts

19th – Cardiff, 33 pts

20th – Norwich, 32 pts

If the rest of my results pan out, this table will instead read Fulham 34 and Sunderland 35, but I will return to this at the end of the season, as I will my full table prediction, which I must say is wildly wrong.
